Well, I said I might try making a canoe.  I started it and I think I will do daily updates on this one. That will be fun to see the daily progress. 

This canoe is 12 feet long and when it is finished it will weigh under 15 pounds.  It is a one man canoe that should carry 350 pounds.  I really only need it to carry me without sinking.  

I took a 2x10x12 feet and sliced it into 10- 3/8x3/8x12',  5- 3/8x1x12', 3- 3/8x1/2x12', with out knots.

Next I will cut hard maple into 7/32x5/8x48"  these are for the crossmembers.
